Standing firm (Colosseum in Rome, Italy)

Standing firm

No matter how firm you stand, there is always a chance that something might blow you away. If such events tear and pick on you, they cause you to totter until, at some point, the only thing that counts is not to fall.

But nobody is unbreakable. And so, some events cut deep corners and edges into the fragile facade. Although the events that wash over you leave behind widespread devastation, it is they that also teach you to stand firmer than you did before.

Colosseum in Rome

I took this photo in August 2021 in Rome (Italy). You can see one of the walls of the Colosseum in Rome behind Rosmarin bushes on a beautiful day. The Colosseum is one of the many landmarks that the city is famous for.

Hi there, I'm Stefanie, the photographer, and author of the blog post you're reading now.
