The center of attention

Some cannot live without being the center of attention. They show off and position themselves to become visible. Over time, they slowly but steadily bore their way to what is aimed without regard to losses.

Once they start to set themselves a monument, the voices that ask about relevance fall silent, since floating with the current is convenient, it is easy to succumb to this sense of mission.

Yet the real problem is always how much attention they get and not how much they demand. If you only let your gaze wander a little, the perspective changes. Suddenly things come to the fore that once were hidden behind the impostors that now become very small.

Pontsteiger Amsterdam

Amsterdam is known for its iconic architecture, and the Pontsteiger building is no exception. This photo was taken in June 2021 while on a ferry that connects the north of Amsterdam with the rest of the city. You can see how this modern building stands out with its sleek design and unique shape. It is an excellent example of how Amsterdam remains at the forefront of modern architecture, even as it preserves its traditional roots.

Hi there, I'm Stefanie, the photographer, and author of the blog post you're reading now.
