Where I stand (indoor photography)

Where I stand

Our universe is enormously self-concentrated – although humans often argue the converse. But where I stand is where my world begins and also where its dimensions end.

Many aspects influence our willingness to move. And as everyday events unnoticeably turn into stories, they become our narrative – they define who we are. These tales affect what we believe, how we behave, and what to expect. They determine where we stand and what we see – our self-concentrated felt reality.

Often enough, we fancy a little too much with this comfy shelter. Therefore, our experiences can trick us now and then. In fact, things might only feel the way they do, because the stories we tell ourselves make us believe so.

What if our legends fooled us? What if, where we are, was not the scene for which we were looking? Could it be that we lost roots and ended up in a twisted perspective? Is where I stand also where I should be?

But where I stand is where my world begins and also where its dimensions end. Individual perception brought us to where we are. However, this does not mean that we have to let it define, where we would like to move.

Hi there, I'm Stefanie, the photographer, and author of the blog post you're reading now.
