Walking to vastness at Amsterdam’s Westerpark

Walking to vastness

While walking on the path of life, eyes like to wander around. And so, the way sometimes becomes very narrow without even realizing it. When things get too tight, enormous fear quickly spreads: The smaller space becomes, the bigger the dread of losing track.

Yet, if the gaze wanders and the eyes don’t see far enough into the vastness, it becomes easy to stagger. Consequently, the risk of losing balance and slipping becomes a real threat. Though overcoming this bottleneck is sometimes not that simple, it will pass faster than you think if you focus on the greater distance instead of only what directly lies in front of you.

Amsterdams Westerpark

I took this photo in the spring of 2021 in Amsterdam’s Westerpark. The Westerpark is one of Amsterdam's most beloved parks, and it's easy to see why. The park is situated in the city's center, making it easily accessible for residents and visitors alike. In addition, the park boasts beautiful gardens, various sculptures and monuments, and a tranquil pond. The Westerpark is the perfect place to stroll on a sunny day or picnic with friends. If you're looking for peace in the heart of Amsterdam, Westerpark is the place for you.
