Unmasking fear (Brutalist architecture in Givatayim)

Unmasking fear

Fear is essential to life because it prevents us from endangering ourselves. Yet, if you're not careful, fear quickly makes itself too comfortable, even if it is unneeded for survival. Very quickly, a small thing can become an ever-growing demon controlling life. Hence, it soon might no longer be possible to master it yourself.

However, the more you believe this made-up monster, the more power it gets and the smaller you feel. It may be challenging to get rid of it. However, the belief in irrational fears of the future feeds this circle. If you want to unmask fear, it is wise to make yourself aware that this monster only becomes as big as you let it grow.

Captivating Brutalism in Givatayim

Get a glimpse of the spectacularly captivating brutalist architecture in Givatayim! The backside of the Mashen Nursing Home has been captured in a beautiful photo taken in 2022, showing off its unique and fascinating structures. You can see other images of the same building I published as “Convalescence House Shalva” and “Shining moments.” Still, I am fascinated by the structures of its brutalist architecture. I like that the architect decided that get his way in terms of design. It indeed created an exciting and unique building.

Brutalist architecture is a style of architecture that was popular in the 1960s and 1970s. It is characterized by its use of raw concrete and angular shapes. Brutalist buildings are often imposing and sometimes even intimidating, but they can also be beautiful in their way.

Brutalist architecture may have fallen out of favor recently, but there are still plenty of stunning examples worldwide. If you're a fan of this style, Israel is a place you should check out!
