Under the bridge

When going outside, you find yourself in all kinds of different places. And in these scenes, various people constantly cross the way. Yet, walking past each other usually takes place on the side.

Lost in our world and thinking about whatever moves us now, humans are often pretty busy with themselves. But doing so frequently means withholding the opportunity to experience the presence of the other.

Javastraat in Amsterdam

I took this photo in spring 2021. You can see people walking on a street that is covered by a very old train bridge. Javastraat is a busy street in Amsterdam Oost that has many coffee places, shopping opportunities, restaurants, and markets. Javastraat in Amsterdam is one of the city's most vibrant and lively streets. From the moment you step onto the street, you can feel the energy and excitement in the air. The street is lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants, all adding to the lively atmosphere. Javastraat is also home to several cultural events and festivals throughout the year, making it a great place to experience Dutch culture. If you're looking for a place to enjoy Amsterdam to its fullest, Javastraat is the place to be.

Hi there, I'm Stefanie, the photographer, and author of the blog post you're reading now.
