Forgetting yourself (Habima square in Tel Aviv)

Forgetting yourself

A certain expectation builds up when you work towards something for a long time. Sometimes you forget the world around you because of what seems so desirable. Though there are certainly times when this is helpful in the short run, there is always a risk of overdoing it.

When having a plan in mind, there is always the danger of forgetting yourself. Achieving a tangible goal, however, is like running a marathon. If you use up all your energy right at the beginning, you no longer have the strength to reach the end goal. Because you had to give up beforehand, you'll never experience the great reward of reaching the end.

The Habima Square in Tel Aviv

I took this photo in the summer of 2022. It shows the famous Habima Square in Tel Aviv. The Habima square (כיכר הבימה) is a huge public space in the heart of the coastal city.
In this photo, you can see the iconic statue "Uprise" by Menashe Kadishman from 1967 and the cultural palace behind it in the background. There is a small garden behind the statue, which invites visitors to rest. It is illuminated at night, and music is always playing (primarily classical).
Besides, many other cultural institutions like the Habima Theatre and the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art exist.
