A fresh coat (Spring in Keukenhof)
A fresh coat
As I watch the memories fade each day, I'm starting to fear losing a part of myself. The endless stories that shake hands in moments that could not be more unwelcome keep me awake.
It's clear that memories have no today or tomorrow - they're moments stuck in the past. And the older they become, the bigger my fear of losing part of them grows. It's a scary thought that I'm trying desperately to avoid. But as the days go by, it's becoming increasingly difficult to do so.
I discarded my worries when I strived to remember the past. Yet, as much as I cherish each memory like a treasured relic, life happens in the present. Therefore, it is time to leave hibernation behind, sweep away any lingering dust from my shoulders, and get a fresh coat.
Spring in Keukenhof
Spring is the season of rebirth and new beginnings. The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer, and the flowers are beginning to bloom. One of the most beautiful places to see this time of year is Keukenhof in the Netherlands. This tulip park is open for only eight weeks out of the year, and it is an explosion of color and life. Besides the Dutch tulips, you can also find the Muscari plants in the park, which you can see in this photo. The Muscari plant, or the grape hyacinth, is a small bulbous plant that produces clusters of blue flowers. This plant is native to Europe and Asia and typically blooms in the spring. The Muscari has been popular for gardens and parks for many years due to its striking blue flowers and compact size.
